An insiders journey into the land of kava bars and pain killing alternatives.
Kava, kratom and euphoric teas go hand in hand at South Florida Kava bars. Walk into any kava bar in the are between Miami and Orlando and you will find an array of kava and kratom cocktails. South Florida is the epicenter of the American kava and kratom tea bar world. Or for kava bars in the United States. Trend setting in the kava world is not easy. Kava drinkers tend to be creatures of habit. So is the same with kratom drinkers, although, usually they come from different paths. In my opinion, kava drinkers tend to seek relaxation, calmness and a loss of social inhibitions. While kratom drinkers are often seeking pain relief or energy.
Kava is a natural muscle relaxer. It is a plant that is cultivated for its thick, spicy roots. These roots are ground into powder and made into a cold brewed tea usually using cheese cloth. Some methods for brewing require boiling water pour overs, however, each kava bar tender usually employs their own distinct methods for extracting the powerful medicinal properties from the roots. Kava root tea when drunk can leave the mouth feeling numb.
Kratom, on the other hand, does not numb the tongue or throat like kava does. Kratom is related to coffee and can have stimulating effects. Kratom can also have sedating effects, especially with what is commonly reported for red kratom strains.
